About Us
The Nation takes its name after Chief Katstaweskum, whose baptismal name was Alexandre, the first Chief of Alexander First Nation. We are a First Nation government, governed by Custom Election Regulations, which is represented by one Chief and 6 Council members.

Our mission
Our mission is to provide physical, emotional and mental well being for every member of the community through the provision of quality health, social, cultural, economic employment training and education programs and opportunities.
Alexander First Nation is always creating and building programs and services that are consistent with the desires of the membership. We are continuously searching for new infrastructure, business, employment, training and opportunities. Communicating with the members, leadership and Elders on new initiatives is a key component in the success of developing, implementing and operating meaningful programs and services within the community.
