Youth Career Development
Is to provide a rage of service that assist and support Youth in making more informed career, employment and education choices. The service will assist learner to access labor market information, employment, career and leaning resources, and opportunities for Summer work experience and to make successful leaning transitions
Events and Activities
Career fair will bring approximately 200 Aboriginal Youth together to participate in their Fair and share stories.
Youth in grades 7-9 will benefit form participating in this career mapping activity.
Personal Career Portfolio
Youth in grades 10-12 will create a personal career portfolio.
Access to Post Secondary
Youth will be involved in activities, which will improve their ability to gain admission to post-secondary institutions and to gain work experience during the month of July.
Summer Work Experience
Youth residing on Reserve and/or attending school on or off Reserve will be eligible to participate in the summer work experience program.
12-18 years of age
Residing on Alexander First Nation and attending Kipohtakaw Education Center
Attending high school off the reserve
